How did you get into the music industry?
I got into the music industry when I felt it was time to start getting my music out there. I independently shop my music to A&R's and started doing showcases. The camp, BlacksheepxGME, that's Pacific, Ebodie and I did a showcase 2years back at SXSW and I've been going nonstop since then. We've done other shows for colleges and other venues too as well as going back down to SXSW this past spring.I've written songs for artist. Since I'm a talented musician, a lot of managers and artists also like the music I produced. That's also helped with setting up new business relationships in my career thus far.
What is your most favorite track you've released thus far?
My favorite track I've released so far would be a BlacksheepxGME track I produced called, "D-Day". It's a really high energy emotionally charged song from me and my family. We were all at a tough place in life yet we produced such beautiful art. It's shows our growth and passion. You can check out the song on: Soundcloud.com/BlacksheepxGME. I grew up listening to a lot of Gospel Music. Kirk Franklin, DC Talk, KJ52, Ce Ce Winans, Yolanda Adams and a lot of many more. I used to sneak and listened to Tupac, Biggie and reggae. My musical library has grown in part to my spiritual and devoted urge to understand all types of music. I really have more than an aesthetic connection to it.
What is your goal in music?
My goal in music is simply to inspire. I have my own saying of ,"A beautiful mind paints beautiful pictures. To make music that people feel is genuine and creative like an artist's paintings. I want to tell my story, my journey in hopes that my fans can gain something positive from any experience I share with them musically. Using my God given talent to make people and help those who feels no one understands their hurt and pain. I want to use the spotlight I gain for the good of this world. To sonically grow wings and fly. I feel my music paints beautiful masterpieces even amongst chaos that anyone can enjoy.
