Name:

Stan Thomas aka StanDaMan.

Age:

I am 25years old.

Hometown:

Cincinnati, Ohio.

How did you get into the music industry?

I got into the music industry when I felt it was time to start getting my music out there. I independently shop my music to A&R's and started doing showcases.  The camp, BlacksheepxGME, that's Pacific, Ebodie and I did a showcase 2years back at SXSW and I've been going nonstop since then. We've done other shows for colleges and other venues too as well as going back down to SXSW this past spring.I've written songs for artist. Since I'm a talented musician, a lot of managers and artists also like the music I produced. That's also helped with setting up new business relationships in my career thus far.

What is your most favorite track you've released thus far?

My favorite track I've released so far would be a BlacksheepxGME track I produced called, "D-Day". It's a really high energy emotionally charged song from me and my family. We were all at a tough place in life yet we produced such beautiful art. It's shows our growth and passion. You can check out the song on: Soundcloud.com/BlacksheepxGME. Follow the team on Twitter too at @StanDaManxGME @Pacific_DaSheep and @Ebodie072.

What new projects can we expect from you?

I do have some projects I'm working on. I'm working on my debut project entitled ,"Beautiful Summer7". With that, a lot of shows and a tour with some acts. Some collaborations with Dj Kennedy and Mnr Mnrz. A BlacksheepxGME tape. I also will be  executive producing a hot new artist who working in my city named Young Rip in his project,"Cincinnati Rage"

Who would you want to work with on your future projects?

On future projects I would like to work with Kanye West, Vic Mensa, Keith Ape,Pharell, Breakbot, Flight Facilities, Kendrick Lamar, and countless others. As far as singers Giselle, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Jill Scott, and many more. Haha. As you can see I have a lot of influences.

Who did you grow up listening to?

I grew up listening to a lot of Gospel Music. Kirk Franklin, DC Talk, KJ52, Ce Ce Winans, Yolanda Adams and a lot of many more. I used to sneak and listened to Tupac, Biggie and reggae. My musical library has grown in part to my spiritual and devoted urge to understand all types of music. I really have more than an aesthetic connection to it.

What is your goal in music?

My goal in music is simply to inspire. I have my own saying of ,"A beautiful mind paints beautiful pictures. To make music that people feel is genuine and creative like an artist's paintings. I want to tell my story, my journey in hopes that my fans can gain something positive from any experience I share with them musically. Using my God given talent to make people and help those who feels no one understands their hurt and pain. I want to use the spotlight I gain for the good of this world. To sonically grow wings and fly. I feel my music paints beautiful masterpieces even amongst chaos that anyone can enjoy.

Age: 22
Hometown: Sacramento , CA

What are your 2 favorite tracks on your new project?

My two favorite tracks on my latest project are, Ready for me & F the Fame . Ready for me because that's my only finished song I have with my sister , my Bestfriend , so It has it's personal meaning for me , & F the Fame's also another favorite , because this track allows people to believe & to feel the compassion I have in my words , our era is corrupted with ego's , greed , negativity , betrayal , & the list goes on , I remind myself everyday to be the same person I was yesterday & the day before that , & as far as the bad , I don't want any parts of it .

What videos can we expect from the new you?

Just expect something different every time , i'm extremely versatile , & very unpredictable , sometimes I don't even know what i'm going to do it just happens , so yeah just expect something different every time .

Who would you want to work with on your future projects?

I would want to work with Bia , someday down the line if god can make that happen , then life would be great .

Who did you grow up listening to?

I grew up listening to alot of R Kelly , Aaliyah , 2Pac , MaryJ , Swv , Deborah Cox , and the list goes on , growing up my mom , aunties , & older cousins would throw these family functions & the music would just go ! I always looked forward to a party just to hear the music.

What is your goal in music?

My goal in music is to be heard , to be able to influence & inspire my listeners , I want to be able to give a voice to my women , because the industry is so male dominant that it's hard for us as woman to be taken seriously , so I want to help encourage women to scream if needed , demand respect because we're just as great ! & most importantly my goal is to be stable & secure , I gotta get my family out this struggle , I want to give my niece & nephew & my unborn kids a life I never had , I do this for my mom , my sister , my brothers , & my close relatives , so my goal in music is to make sure they're right , as long as they're good & my current & future fans love me than consider my goal completed .
